Perspective Markeaton

Here are a couple of experiments i did with my drawing before i took it into photoshop. I just wanted to try some colour and different art materials

This is the drawing that i am using for my final

Here is a quick dry pastal drawing that i drew to show the different layers in the perspective view. It made the edges alot clearer aswell so i could develop it better.

I did a coloured drawing, to bring abit more depth to the picture and identify where the different levels in the drawing are. These experiments have helped me to "figure out" the picture. Next week i am going to start developing the drawing in photoshop to lead to my final piece!

More perspective

I had abit more practice with perspective before i began developing my piece for the assigment. Here are some drawings that i have done.

This is just a picnic table that i saw in the park which i sketched

Here is the birdtable that is in King Georges park in London

This is st annes church in derby.

This is a quick sketch of a car the was parked outside of my house

This is a drawing of Wall:E that i drew. My baby cousin has the toy figure of him, so i drew him from 2 point perspective. I am most proud of this once as i think it looks really. I think in the future im going to take this sketch further. Maybe take it into photoshop and develop it.

Perspective Assignment Part 1

I read the assessment criteria of the next assigment on U.D.O and have seen that the environment should be a developed sketch of one of the uni sketchs that we have done. I am going to use my markeaton sketch later on for that task. The first part of the assignment is to take environments into photoshop and draw some horizon lines ontop them. This will help us to understand perspective drawing alot better, so when we come to drawing ours, we can spot the lines alot easier and thus improve our drawing speed.

 1 point perspective

 2 point perspective

 3 point perspective

This task has really helped me to understand perspective. I was always a little confused, but by finding the horizon lines in all these pictures has helped me get how it works. This has been particularly useful i found!

University

In the lecture, we went to kedlestone road and were told to draw a rough sketch of a particular section of the uni. My group and i went to the library to get some interesting perspectives.

I drew a brief lined sketch of a row of library book shelves with the seats infront of each one. I did this because the small square cube seats gave a perfectly symetrical line which i really liked. After i drew the scene, i quickly coloured with some oil pastals. The different colours represent each layer of the drawing with the blue being the colour of the bookshelves to be the back layer, and the beight green to be the focus of the scene

This week i also went to markeaton as i thought the building itself portrayed a nice perspective. I drew the enterance by the ADT sign. I only sketched the lines, and went over them more when i got home.

Perspective drawing

Our lecture this week was on how to draw in perspective. We covered brief points on 1, 2 and 3 point perspectives. I thought i should do some practice drawings. Here are some of the drawings

This is a basic 1 point perspective drawing i did, just to show the vanishing points and the symetricality of the buildings

This is a two point perspective of a street. I thought i would draw a car aswell as i wanted a bit of a challenge. The result came out perfectly.

Three point perspective, which i find the holdest to draw. This was of a block of council flats where i live in essex but i exagerated the height to get a decent three point drawing :)

This is a perspective drawing of my front room in my house

This was just a simple experiment i did to see if i could draw a perspective detailed drawing from my imagination!

We were also given the assignment which is to draw a perspective drawing and work with it on photoshop  to create a more believeable environmental drawing. We were also told we would be drawing the university next week so i will use this as my practice for the assigment.

Final Prop Design

For my finaldesign i did a couple of sketches of some ideas. I then drew out a side top and bottom view of the final design and took it into photoshop and coloured it with some leather and golden patterns:

This is the design of the final show. I placed a large golden plate at the front of the shoe in an art deco shape. This is because the gun will be fire by flexing the foot and pushing the pressure points at the front of the shoe underneath the toes. It will also allow a larger surface area as walking on a gun heel is going to be difficult. To compensate, i added a wedge before the plate to balance out the persons body weight across the shoe and prevent the gun from constantly
firing.

This is the finished shoe once i had coloured it in photoshop. I have drawn it and coloured it from top and side angle. I absolutly loved this prop. I would love to make it in maya as i personally think it is a really awesome idea!

Shoe and Gun designs

I found pictures of current fashion shoes. i chose my four favourite designs so that i could develop the prop alongside these drawings,

Out of these shoes my favourite was the boot. i like its shape without the leg coverage so i will most likely use this as my basis

My favourite  of the guns was this one on the left. I like its decoration and its old fashioned style. This is the gun which i will combine with the shoe for my prop design
